Map questions to decisions
List what the team needs to know before accepting or contacting an enquiry. Service type and location may determine fit. Approximate project scope can help prepare a call. If a question does not change any action, consider removing it.
Use branches with a purpose
A replacement window enquiry needs different follow-up questions from repair work. HVAC intake should distinguish request types without pretending to diagnose equipment. Renovation forms can separate whole-property work from a smaller project.
Explain estimates and limits
An approximate quantity is not a final measurement. A budget band is not a binding quote. Explain what the team will verify on the next call or visit. Calculators should stay unavailable until their assumptions are validated.
Make errors recoverable
Use labels, keyboard navigation and clear validation. Preserve entries after an error. If a delivery system fails, show an honest message and an agreed next step. A form should never show success solely because someone pressed the submit button.
Test the full handoff
Check each branch, out-of-area enquiries, duplicates and destination mapping. Confirm who receives the enquiry and what they do next. A useful form improves preparation; it does not replace a responsible person or guarantee a sale.
